...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of northwestern
Clinton, southwestern Jackson and southeastern Jones Counties through
500 PM CDT...

At 432 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Monmouth, or 13 miles west of Maquoketa, moving east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could cause minor tree limb damage and blow
         around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects
         is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Maquoketa, Preston, Delmar, Wyoming, Charlotte, Monmouth,
Spragueville, Nashville, Hurstville, Baldwin, Eden Valley Refuge,
Maquoketa Municipal Airport, Jackson County Fairgrounds, Buckhorn,
and Elwood.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring and may lead to localized flooding.
Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Stay away from
flooded areas. Report any flooding to local law enforcement.
