...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN KOOCHICHING COUNTY
THROUGH 245 AM CDT...

At 218 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 12 miles west of Birchdale to 9 miles southeast
of Baudette to 19 miles south of Wheelers Point to 19 miles north of
Waskish. Movement was northeast at 50 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated. These storms have a history of producing
         wind gusts of 36 mph at Baudette at 125 AM CDT.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

These storms will remain over mainly rural areas of northwestern
Koochiching County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
